2023 ACC Women’s Lacrosse Championship Presented by Ally Begins Sunday

GREENSBORO, N.C. (theACC.com) – The 2023 ACC Women’s Lacrosse Championship Presented by Ally begins Sunday with a pair of games at campus sites. The tournament features a 10-team format for the first time, with Clemson playing in its inaugural season.
 
No. 10 seed Pitt travels to No. 7 Virginia Tech at noon Sunday to open tournament play. No. 9 seed Duke visits No. 8 Louisville at 2 p.m. Sunday. ACC Network will broadcast both games.
 
The winners Sunday will advance to the quarterfinals, which shift to American Legion Memorial Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina. The Virginia Tech-Pitt winner will play No. 2 seed Syracuse, while the Louisville-Duke winner will advance to take on No. 1 seed Boston College.
 
The quarterfinals will be played Wednesday, with the semifinals on Friday and the championship game on Sunday, April 30. ACC Network also will air all seven games from Charlotte.
 
Six ACC women’s lacrosse teams are ranked in the latest IL Women/IWLCA poll, including four of the top seven. Syracuse is ranked No. 1 nationally and is followed by Boston College (5), North Carolina (6), Notre Dame (7), Virginia (11) and Clemson (17). The ACC has the most teams in the poll among all conferences.
 
ACC teams also hold three of the top five positions and six of the top 30 in the latest NCAA RPI: Syracuse (1), North Carolina (3), Boston College (5), Notre Dame (11), Virginia (12) and Clemson (28).
 
All-Session and Individual Session tickets for the ACC Championship games in Charlotte are available through the American Legion Stadium Ticket Office and can be purchased online HERE. All-Session tickets are good for the seven games of the tournament that are played in Charlotte.
